You can book a video conference from your Teacher Dashboard, clicking on the "Book a video conference" button.
A page will open listing all available slots in chronological order for the topics in the schedule.
Select the session you would like to book and click or tap on “Learn more and book”.
A page will open with details of the video conference, including information about students already booked in from different countries, as well as an overview of the suggested dialogue prompts. Please note that all times shown for video conferences are in the local time zone selected in your profile. You can learn more about changing the time zone set in your profile here.
You can click or tap on "Choose students and book" to book in your students.
All students linked to your classes will appear for you to select. Please note that you should have your students in your classes before booking a video conference. Please read this article on how to invite your students to the Ultimate Dialogue Adventure.
Once you have selected all students you want to invite to the video conference, click or tap on "Select these students". They will receive an email informing them that you have booked them into a video conference.
Video conferences have a maximum of 60 places, so avoid booking more than 30 places to allow for a balanced and diverse video conference.
The video conference will be confirmed at least 7 days before the event date, or you will receive notification of cancellation if not enough students are booked in.
A lot of time and planning goes into arranging a videoconference, and non-attendance wastes precious time for everyone. Failure to attend could mean this function is removed from your dashboard. You can learn more about our policy here.
